Mr. Schlamp

Mr. Schlamp is an outstanding English teacher - one of the teachers who hopes to attend the conference in 2011.

Presentations

We met with 3 English classes and gave a brief introduction to our school district and answered many questions. Near the end of the day we met with a group of 50 students who have expressed interest in attending the International Youth Summit at SAVHS.

Touring the classes

Our first day was spent touring the school and visiting classes. Students were very interested in meeting us and practicing their English.

Inside the school

The school has many open naturally lit spaces. There is student art work throughout the building.

Riding bikes to school

The first notable difference was the number of bicycles at the school. We were told that more than 75% of students (about 500 students) ride their bikes daily.
