The flight from Mpls to New York was scheduled to leave at 10:40 AM so we needed to be at the airport 3 hours early. As it turned out, because of the visa for Russia we needed most of that time.
When we arrived at JFK we had just enough time to grab something to eat before we boarded the next flight that would take us to Moscow.
Our flight departed on time but was rerouted south to avoid the ash cloud. We landed in Moscow 2.5 hours later than scheduled. After a very long day we have arrived safe at the hotel at 9:30PM.
A driver will from Rzhev will pick us up tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM. No time to see Moscow today - I hope we can return to Moscow a bit early to do some sight seeing. I would hate to be so close to the Kremlin without at least a glance at it.
